An alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. This is a simple safe procedure using muscle testing (applied kinesiology) to test for food sensitivities. The procedure is to look at foods first, to heal the digestive system by eliminating those challenging foods and by giving supplements to improve the biochemistry of the environment and also repair the structure of the gut. The Bowen Technique is an effective treatment working on the muscles and soft tissue to give pain relief, promote healing and increase energy levels. Gentle moves are applied to specific points of the muscle which in turn release muscle spasm and encourage the body to realign itself without the need for manipulation or force which makes the treatment so unique. Iridology uses the patterns, colours, and other characteristics of the eye's iris to provide valuable information about the body’s constitutional strengths and weaknesses, levels of inflammation and toxaemia and the efficiency of the eliminative systems and organs.
