ABOUT ME

My name’s Ali, and I’m a nutritional therapist based in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

I have always been enthusiastic about fresh and nutritious food, and my journey towards becoming a qualified nutritional therapist began when I experienced first-hand the dramatic improvements in health and wellbeing (both mental and physical) that can be achieved through often simple changes in diet and lifestyle.

After many years as a teacher and personal tutor, I retrained with the School of Health, achieving diplomas in both Nutritional Therapy and Anatomy & Physiology, accredited by the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners. I have also trained in Muscle Response Testing (kinesiology), with the Classical Kinesiology Institute.

I am based in Brimscombe, near Stroud, Gloucesershire, and can provide consultations at Nailsworth Natural Health Clinic, in your home (distance allowing), at my home, or online over Skype. Initial consultations can also be conducted over the phone.
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A TYPICAL CONSULTATION?

Typically, we start with an initial one hour consultation where I gather relevant information about your current health, medical history, family medical history and diet/lifestyle (this can be done over the phone at first). This would be followed by a two hour consultation, usually around one week later, in which I provide dietary and lifestyle advice with the aim of improving overall health and wellbeing. This would include muscle response testing (kinesiology) for food sensitivities (and heavy metal toxicity if suspected) and to determine the most appropriate dietary changes and, if necessary, supplementation. Kinesiology can also support clients with emotional issues that may be impacting on their health, wellbeing and dietary preferences. NB Food sensitivity testing is also offered as a stand-alone hour long session. This may be followed by further sessions if appropriate.
